Portions of Several Streets to Close July 20, 21

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of several streets will close beginning Sunday, July 20, and Monday, July 21. The closures are as follows:
  • Eastbound Salt Creek Roadway between 14th Street and Stadium Drive will be closed from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday, July 20, for the Nebraska Football Road Race.
  • Calvert Street between Ninth Street and Nebraska Parkway and Pioneers Boulevard between Ninth Street and Nebraska Parkway will close beginning Monday, July 21, for railroad track repairs. This work is expected to be completed by Friday, July 25. The recommended detour for Pioneers Boulevard is 14th Street to Old Cheney Road to U.S. Highway 77.
  • “A” Street between 40th and 52nd streets will close beginning Monday, July 21, for a surface maintenance project. This work is scheduled to be completed by Thursday, July 24. Local access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained. The recommended detour is 40th Street to South Street to 56th Street. StarTran Route 54-Veteran’s Hospital will be detoured during this work.
Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public’s patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
