The Pioneers Park Nature Center (PPNC) invites community members to the Moth Night nocturnal discovery event Thursday, July 24. The free event will be from 8 to 10 p.m. at the at the historic Cunningham Schoolhouse, 3201 S. Coddington Avenue.
Participants of all ages will have the opportunity to connect with the natural world after sunset during a prairie stroll as evening wildlife activity begins to increase. Guests can learn about moths and other nighttime insects, observe light traps in action, and discover how these often-overlooked creatures contribute to healthy ecosystems.
Attendees are encouraged to dress for an outdoor experience. Comfortable walking shoes and insect repellant are recommended.
