Portions of Several Streets to Close Beginning July 10, 14

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of several streets will close beginning July 10 and July 14. The closures are as follows:

Thursday, July 10:

14th Street between “O” and “Q” streets, and “P” Street between 13th Street and Centennial Mall will be closed from noon Thursday, July 10, to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 13, for the Zoofest Music Festival.

Monday, July 14:

“A” Street between 40th and 52nd streets will be closed for pavement repairs. This work is expected to be completed by Thursday, July 17. Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained. The recommended detour is 40th Street to South Street to 56th Street. StarTran Route 54-Veteran’s Hospital will be detoured during this work.

14th Street between Pioneers Boulevard and Nebraska Parkway will be closed for railroad track repairs. This work is expected to be completed by Friday, July 18. The recommended detour is 14th Street to Nebraska Parkway to 27th Street to Old Cheney Road. StarTran Route 13-South 13th will be detoured during this work.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public’s patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
