Pioneers Park Nature Center Herbal Workshop set for August 9

The Pioneers Park Nature Center today invited community members to an Herbal Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, August 9. This immersive, hands-on experience is for both beginners and experienced herbalists interested in deepening their connection to plants.
Participants will explore a variety of herbal techniques and traditions through engaging, interactive sessions, including:
  • Intro to Bundle Dyeing – Create plant-dyed masterpieces using natural materials and time-honored dyeing techniques.
  • Herb Garden Tour – Stroll through the historic Louise Evans Doole Herb Garden, established in 1968, and learn about the diverse uses of the plants that thrive there.
  • Herb-Themed Refreshments – Enjoy tasty treats and refreshing drinks inspired by the fragrant and flavorful world of herbs.
  • Herbal Extractions – Discover how to harness the natural properties of herbs to make your own tinctures and extractions.
