Wild Fall Festival, Prairie Run and Ramble Set for September 27

The Pioneers Park Nature Center, 3201 South Coddington Ave., invites runners, walkers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages to participate in the Prairie Run and Ramble on Saturday, September 27. The event is part of the day-long Wild Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., that features free nature activities, workshops, animal meet-and-greets, and more.
The Prairie Run and Ramble offers three route options for participants of all fitness levels and ages: 1 mile, 2.25 miles, and 3.5 miles. This fun, untimed run/walk starts at 9 a.m., with check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Nature Center.
Participants receive a commemorative festival t-shirt and a coupon for a free wagon ride during the festival. Register by 9 a.m. Monday, September 15, to guarantee your t-shirt size will be available.
“The Prairie Run and Ramble is a wonderful opportunity for our community to enjoy the beauty of the prairie landscape while engaging in healthy activity,” said Jamie Kelley, Pioneers Park Nature Center Coordinator. “It’s a perfect start to our Wild Fall Festival.”
