Temporary Parks, Trailhead Parking Lot Closures Begin September 30

The Parks and Recreation Department today announced that three parking lots will close beginning in late September and early October for gravel resurfacing.

The projects are as follows:

  • The parking lot at the Jamaica North Trailhead near South 25th Street and Saltillo Road will close beginning Tuesday, September 30. The project is expected to be completed by Thursday, October 2. During the work, trail users may park in the Wilderness Park trailhead lot Number 7 on South 14th Street.
  • The Roper Park West parking lot near North Third and Fairfield streets, and the Roper Park East parking lot at North Seventh and Adams streets are scheduled to close Thursday, October 2. The projects are expected to be completed by October 10. Park users are recommended to park in the neighborhoods at Third and Fairfield streets near the west entrance and Judson and Groveland streets for the east park.
