What is the Process?
Concerns or complaints are logged as received. These logs are printed and faxed to the three district shops daily; high volume complaints are faxed three to four times daily. Plows and sanders follow route maps and work in assigned districts until completed. Emergency snow routes, bus routes and arterial streets are plowed first. Residential streets are plowed only when the Mayor declares a Snow Emergency resulting in parking bans. Parking ban information is announced by the local media. After all assigned streets have been cleared and/or sanded, complaint logs and problem areas are addressed.
