The "F" Street Community Center today announced a free wellness-based preschool program starting in September. The Fit Together program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through May 2020 at the Center, 1225 "F" Street. The program is funded by the Lincoln Community Foundation.
"Fit Together strives to bring families together in a warm supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable being active," said Mary Johnson the program creator with Lincoln Parks and Recreation. "While the preschoolers are involved in age-appropriate programming, the adults will focus on fitness, nutrition, and parenting skills for themselves and their families."
Lunch will be available at noon for $3 per adult and $2 per child. Staff can communicate in English, Spanish, French, and Arabic. Parents and guardians are welcome to participate with their children until the children feel comfortable on their own.
Registration is limited to 20 participants. To register or for more information, call 402-441-7951 or visit the "F" Street Community Center.
Lincoln Parks and Recreation also offers the following fee-based preschool programs:
