The Mayor's carriage in the 2005 Star City Holiday Parade carried not just Mayor Seng, but three former Mayors: Helen Boosalis, Dale Young and Don Wesely (other former Mayors were not available).

Mayor Seng helped present trophies after the parade.

The Deshler High School marching band, the only band to brave the snow, captured all three band trophies and received a standing ovation from those attending the awards ceremony.

Mayor Seng's Christmas tree for the 2005 holiday season was decorated by the Mayor's Committee for International Friendship. It was on display at the Heritage League's Holiday of Trees event just after Thanksgiving and is now on display during regular business hours outside the Mayor's Office on the second floor of the County-City Building, 555 South 10th Street.
