Aging Partners encourages senior citizens and the public to make reservations for a series of lunchtime "Music Fest" concerts featuring baritone vocalist Robert Patton. The meals follow the performance times listed:
Reservations are required by calling the senior center by noon the day prior to the event. The suggested meal contribution is $4 for those age 60 and over, and there is an $8 fee for those under age 60. There is a suggested contribution of $4 for transportation within senior center transportation boundaries.
Robert Patton was a member of the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants in Washington, D.C. for 20 years. Since retiring from the military, he has performed with the Dorian Opera Theatre, the Fort Dodge and Central Iowa Symphonies, the Iowa State University Orchestra, the Karl King Band, the Iowa Veterans Band and the Des Moines, Lincoln, Ames and Waterloo Municipal Bands.
The concert series is sponsored by the Lincoln Musicians' Association Local 463, American Federation of Musicians, the Music Performance Trust Fund and Film Funds.
