Vine Street from 66th to 70th - Street Improvements

Lincoln on the Move is investing in improvements to Vine Street from 66th to 70th streets. These improvements will include a full removal of existing pavement and curb, and replacement with full depth concrete pavement. The roadway will be widened from 31 ft. to 35 ft. to meet State and Federal standards for arterial streets. Driveway approaches will be reconstructed. Additional work with other funding sources includes pedestrian ramp reconstruction to meet federal and local standards.

Project Funding

This project was programmed as a part of the commitment to voters to invest significant sales tax funds into improvement of existing streets. The project was funded jointly from the Highway Allocation Funds (aka-Gas Tax) and ¼ cent sales tax for streets in accordance with ballot language.

Schedule

Construction is expected to take place in 2026.

Access During Construction

This work will be completed under a full closure of the street with access to emergency vehicles maintained at all times.
