Visitors are encouraged to review updated parking options due to construction.
The project will install a new 16-inch water main, replacing the existing 6-inch and 16-inch water mains along 40th Street from “A” to “O” streets.
This work is being coordinated with a street improvement project in the same area.
Construction began in 2025 and is anticipated to be completed in fall 2026.
The northbound lane of 40th Street will be closed to traffic during construction. A southbound lane will be maintained but some restrictions may be necessary. Short-term temporary intersection closures will be needed as the project progresses.
