City Selects Contractor for “O” Street Improvements Published on March 18, 2026 Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird today announced that the City has selected Constructors Inc. of Lincoln as the general contractor for Project “O” Street.
“O” Street Closure Postponed Due to Wind Published on March 12, 2026 Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that the closure of westbound “O” Street between 68th and 70th streets scheduled for today, March 12, has been postponed due to high winds. A new closure date has not yet been determined.
Additional Portion of Ninth Street to Close Beginning March 16 Published on March 12, 2026 Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that an additional lane closure on Ninth Street from "L" to "K" streets will begin Monday, March 16, for the delivery and assembly of heavy construction equipment. The closure is expected to continue through late March.
