Kids Day Off

We have a long tradition of serving Lincoln with quality supervised play for children and youth. We believe supervised, safe, fun, and meaningful out-of-school time opportunities are as important as ever. Our programs are supervised by caring professionals who promote positive environments, supportive relationships, and constructive activities to meet the developmental needs of children and youth.


Kids Day Off are fun play days during the school year when some Lincoln Public Schools are not in session. Registration for Kids Day Off will begin in mid-September of that school year. Programming during spring break is offered at both locations, please note that registration for each day of attendance.

Kids Day Off

Belmont Recreation Center, 1234 Judson St., 402-441-6789
Organized games, crafts, occasional field trips and selected activities. Children must bring a sack lunch, drink and tennis shoes. An afternoon snack will be provided.
Ages: Grade K-5   |   Times: 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Calvert Recreation Center, 4500 Stockwell St, 402-441-8480
A full-day program on days off from school during the school year. Participants have fun staying active with seasonal arts and crafts, games, special events, and field trips.
Ages: Grades K-5  |   Times: 6:30 AM - 5:45 PM 

Pre-Registration

Payment for first session must accompany completed registration form. You may register for any or all of the sessions. Payment for later sessions required before the first day of each session.

  

Need Based Scholarships

Scholarship applications are available at all recreation centers, the Parks and Recreation Administration Office, the Playground Office and online. Applicants must provide proof of income (copy of tax return or most recent paycheck stub), size of household and statement of need. Once your application has been received, your location will make contact to discuss your request.

 

Title XX

All programs, except Irving, are approved to accept Title XX, the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Child Care Subsidy Program.
