Vase with Five Flowers

in the middle of a roundabout, rises a larger than life sculpture of a vase with flowers in it.

About the Sculpture

Vase with Five Flowers by James Surls is a 15 foot tall, stainless steel sculpture on loan from Karen and Robert Duncan. It was installed as a means to prevent traffic collisions in the roundabout on 14th and Superior in July of 2017. The Duncan's loaned the piece with the intention of making their neighborhood more beautiful as they only live a couple of blocks from this roundabout.

In the center of a raised bed with grasses stands a sculpture of a vase with flowers.
