Lifeguard Certification Courses

Get certified to become a Lifeguard and join our Team!  Positions are available for all our outdoor pools! 

The lifeguard course is for anyone that wishes to become certified as a lifeguard or for those that have let their certification expire.  Participants must be at least 15 years of age.  The lifeguard courses offered are blended learning which includes an online portion that must be completed before the first day of class. A skills test is completed on the first day of class which must be passed to continue with the rest of in-person class. 

Classes are limited to the public to allow space for individuals who will work for the City of Lincoln in 20224.

Lifeguard Review/Recertification

For guards who are currently certified or expired within 30 days.

Lifeguard Instructor

Must over 18 and currently certified as a lifeguard. Must pass a skills test.
