LPD Impaired Driving Traffic Enforcement Project Results | 2025

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) today released the results of a specialized traffic enforcement project that focused on impaired drivers. The effort was part of the nationwide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign and was conducted throughout Lincoln from August 15 to 30.

Additional officers worked overtime during the nights and weekends to conduct high visibility traffic enforcement to help deter impaired driving. Officers took a zero-tolerance approach to drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol, while also watching for other traffic and safety violations. The enforcement campaign was made possible by a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
