Welcome to Project “O” Street
Temporary detours. Permanent Progress.
The City of Lincoln is making a major reinvestment along “O” Street and the surrounding blocks in the heart of our community. Through Project “O” Street, the City will replace aging water mains, repair and resurface streets and sidewalks, and install new amenities along both “O” Street and the 14th Street Music District. These improvements support local businesses, residents, customers, commuters, and visitors in one of Lincoln’s most active corridors.
By coordinating and streamlining these investments, the City aims to shorten the construction timeline, reduce repeat disruptions, and make more efficient use of public resources. Construction has been scheduled to avoid the busiest times downtown, including football season and major community events. While the work will bring temporary disruptions, it will result in a stronger, safer, and more vibrant downtown that better serves you and your customers.
