The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) and partners today launched a new online mental wellbeing platform called CredibleMind. The platform provides Lincoln and Lancaster County residents access to evidence-based mental health resources that can be personalized to fit their needs.
“CredibleMind is a tool we can use to better understand and take charge of our own mental wellbeing,” said Kerry Kernen, Health Director. “It’s a one-stop-shop where we can learn new skills, take assessments, and find helpful information and local resources.”
CredibleMind is available at myhealthymind.crediblemind.com. It’s free, confidential and available 24/7.
CredibleMind features include:
Access to over 10,000 self-care and mental wellbeing resources covering more than 100 topics including anxiety, depression, grief, parenting, relationships, self-care, stress, substance use and more
Assessments that help you understand your own mental health
Content that’s adaptable to your needs and learning style
Connections to local mental wellbeing resources
The Health Department partnered with Bryan Health and CHI Health to bring CredibleMind to the community.
"It's important that individuals understand their symptoms and have an outlet for credible materials," said Dr. Dave Miers, Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services, Bryan Medical Center. "CredibleMind offers that through its array of articles, apps, podcasts, videos, books and online programs. It's gratifying to collaborate on this initiative and provide trusted mental health information to those who seek it."
“CHI Health St. Elizabeth is proud to support the CredibleMind platform,” said Tyler DeJong, President, CHI Health St. Elizabeth. “Improving access to mental health resources, spreading awareness, and connecting individuals to care are critical steps in treating and preventing behavioral health struggles in our community. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Through collaboration with the Health Department and our area partners, we are ensuring a healthier future for our community.”
CredibleMind is a result of the 2022 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) in which behavioral health was identified as a priority. The plan is an action-oriented process where the community determines a set of shared priorities and aligns efforts to make the greatest impact.
The Health Department collaborates with healthcare partners and community organizations to develop the CHIP and the Community Health Assessment that informs it.
LLCHD and partners also recently released another wellbeing resource entitled “6 Pillars for Emotional Wellbeing – A Parent’s Guide.” The video series features local and national health experts, partners and parents and helps local families build healthy habits into everyday life that support youth emotional health. It focuses on six core elements including sleep, physical activity, nutrition/hydration, relational connectedness, mastery and quieting. CredibleMind offers assessments and resources related to each of the six pillars.
Two pillar videos, Sleep and Physical Activity, were released in July. A new video will follow each month through November 2025. Watch and learn more about the 6 Pillars for Emotional Wellbeing at lincoln.ne.gov/6Pillars.
