The public is invited to a presentation and open house Tuesday, November 17 on the second phase of the "P" Street Corridor Project from Centennial Mall to Antelope Parkway. The event begins with a design presentation from The Clark Enersen Partners from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and continues with a discussion from 6 to 7 p.m. The open house will be at the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union, 17th and "P" streets.
The "P" Street Project was designed in 2012 and 2013 as part of a Downtown Master Planning process. The "P" Street retail corridor from 11th St. to Centennial Mall was completed earlier this year. The Clark Enersen Partners has been hired to finish the design and construction drawings for the second phase east of Centennial Mall.
Those attending the presentation will hear about the history of the project, the proposed design and the construction schedule. In addition to street and sidewalk improvements, the design includes vehicular and bike parking, seating and landscaping. Business and property owners will be able to review sidewalk and parking improvements on their blocks. Construction will begin next spring.
