Northwest 12th Street, from West Highland Boulevard to Isaac Drive, will close Monday, November 19 through Monday, November 26 for pavement repairs. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes, including using West Fletcher Avenue or W. Highland Boulevard to access N.W. 1st Street.
Two separate projects are being completed during the closure to minimize the impact on area residents. The City is repairing pavement that buckled under summer heat, removing cracks and filling potholes to prevent further deterioration of the street in winter. A private developer is adding a right-turn lane into an apartment complex to fulfill a City requirement. The projects are scheduled during the Thanksgiving holiday week to decrease delays for commuters and school traffic.
