City of Lincoln Mayor's Office 2005 Media Releases |
Mayor Coleen J. Seng has announced that motorists are again able to make left turns at 27th and Vine streets. Traffic is now able to move in all directions at the intersection. The left-turn lanes were blocked off to allow for pavement construction on Vine Street between 26th and 27th streets. “I am very pleased that the left-turn lanes at this major intersection are open,” said Mayor Seng. “The construction will improve traffic safety and efficiency, and I want to thank drivers for their patience.” Construction of the eastbound lanes of Vine Street between 17th and 26th streets continues. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction in that area. The work is expected to be completed in August.
