Why Participate in sports?

Kids and teens need at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day to stay healthy. Anything that gets their heart beating fast counts!

Staying active not only builds muscles and bones, but also improves sleep, mood, and attention span, and helps prevent substance use. Playing sports is a great way for people of all ages to move more, with the bonus of building teamwork and social skills.
