40th from “A” to “O” - Street Improvements

Project Summary

The City of Lincoln’s ¼ cent sales tax is providing funding for the rehabilitation of 40th Street from “A” Street to just south of “O” Street. These repairs include a mill and overlay of the existing asphalt surface with repairs to the base layer as needed, and widening of 40th Street from “A” to “O” streets. Additional work with other funding sources includes upgrades to the existing sidewalk ramps to comply with federal and local standards.

This work is being coordinated with a water main replacement project, which will take place before street resurfacing begins.

The reconstruction of the intersection of 40th and Randolph streets is included in a separate project.
