Golf

FUNdamental to Active Living

Lincoln Parks and Recreation maintains five public golf courses, each offering a unique experience.  Whether you like tree-lined fairways and water hazards, or a links style course, we’ve got a course that’s sure to challenge you.

Holmes Golf Course

Holmes Golf Course was built in the early 1960’s and has been a favorite in the city of Lincoln for years! Our 18 hole championship course is laid out over gradual hills and has some great views of Holmes Lake. Located near South 70th Street and Old Cheney Road.

Highlands Golf Course

The links style course is designed to offer a fair but challenging test for all playing abilities located in northwest Lincoln. Highlands also has one of the best practice facilities in the midwest and a pro shop that is well stocked with name brand golf equipment and apparel.

Mahoney Golf Course

Mahoney Golf Course is a beautiful 18-hole, par 70, championship golf course that is laid out over 6,459 yards.

Pioneers Golf Course

The oldest public course in Lincoln, Nebraska and the surrounding states. This 18-hole course has become one of, if not, the most popular course in the area.

Jim Ager Golf Course

Jim Ager Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 3 golf course in the heart of downtown Lincoln. Winner of Golf Digest’s award for the “Best Junior Golf Program” in the municipal category.
