Built in the mid 1960’s, Jim Ager Memorial Golf Course, is one the finest short courses of its kind in the country. Winning Golf Digest’s award for the “Best Junior Golf Program” in the municipal category shows how much we value tomorrow’s future golfers and beginners of all ages.

Our mission is to provide a stress free golf experience no matter what your skill level. Our professional staff strives to be enthusiastic and send the message that everyone, especially beginners, are welcome at Ager.

Jim Ager Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 3 golf course in the heart of downtown Lincoln. Our course, which measures 1,228 yards, offers golfers of all ages and skill sets a fun place to play. Ager consists of 9 holes, ranging from 70 to 175 yards – the perfect place for a more advanced golfer to hone their iron skills, or for a beginning golfer to first learn the game. Everyone is welcome at Jim Ager Golf Course! The course has numerous golf learning programs for kids and adults, plus a variety of golf leagues.

Golf Shop

Open (March-November), weather permitting. We offer everything that you will need for playing golf, including club rentals, golf balls, tees, and gloves. The golf shop also has new and used golf clubs for juniors and teens of all ages based on the height of the youngster.

Lounge and Snack Shop

In addition to the golf section of our pro shop, we have a lounge to relax in and purchase all of the snacks and drinks you need before you go back out for your second nine.

Used Clubs and Balls

We have used clubs starting at $5 per club. We also carry used iron sets starting at $25. This is a great way to get a nice starter set for a junior who is just beginning to learn the game of golf.

Donations of golf balls and gently used golf clubs are appreciated at any time throughout the week.

Footgolf

Experience the fun of FootGolf as this NEW popular sport is the combination of soccer and golf. The game is played with a regulation # 5 soccer ball on golf holes with a 21-inch diameter cup. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf. FootGolf can be played right along side a regular golfer, and it is fun for any age!
