Special Use Permit

Special Use Permits are being considered for approval at this time. Note that the permit process applies to public and privately organized events held in park or trail spaces as identified by City Ordinance Chapter 12.08.300.

Special Events and Permits

Planning on creating a charity run to benefit a local cause? Hosting a celebration for a special holiday? Maybe just creating a community invited-to party complete with a bounce house or food trucks? Lincoln's local parks and trails are perfect places to host these kinds of events. We are here to help! Submit your Special Use Permit event request for consideration or reach out if you have any additional questions.
 

Scroll down to complete the form submission process below. Once you submit the completed form, parks staff will review your submission and get back with you on any outstanding items, along with entering your event into your CivicRec account for event payment completion.

 
Special Use Permits should be filed at least 30 days out from the proposed event date in order to be considered for approval. Scroll down and choose the "Continue" button to complete the Special Use Permit process online!

Purpose: Use of a park or park facility (e.g., sports field, Woods Pool) for a large group activity.
Examples:
Corporate picnic, Baseball tournament, Swim Meet, Charity walk, etc.
Fees:
Vary on location and event.
