Battalion Chief, Jeanne Pashalek

Battalion Chief, Jeanne Pashalek Jeanne is currently a Battalion Chief of Emergency Services with Lincoln Fire & Rescue and she is responsible for human resources as well as the command of operations during emergency incidents, supervision of personnel and equipment, growth and development of personnel, and administrative and management details assigned by the fire chief.

Jeanne began her career as a firefighter in 1990 and has held the positions of Hazardous Materials Technician and team captain, Nationally Registered Paramedic, Captain, EMS Supervisor, and currently as a Battalion Chief of Emergency Services.

Jeanne earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Natural Science from Doane College in 1985 and earned a Master of Arts in Management Degree with a Leadership Emphasis from Doane College in 2009. She has attended the National Fire Academy for courses in public education and personnel growth and development and has attended numerous conferences/seminars to enhance her education in various aspects of the fire service.

Jeanne has been actively involved throughout her career in various capacities with Lincoln Fire & Rescue. She has been involved with public education, Recruitment Committee, EEO Diversity Committee, Hazardous Materials Team member, NETF-1 Urban Search & Rescue member, CPR Instructor, accreditation committee member, and a member of the Nebraska Critical Incident Stress Management Program.

She has served as a trustee, Vice President, and is the immediate past President for The International Association of Women in Fire and Emergency Services. She also is a member of the Creighton University EMS Advisory Committee.
