The LLCHD recently received a $1,000,000 grant, as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to retrofit diesel engines with diesel oxidation catalysts, and install other equipment that is designed to reduce pollution from diesel engines. Many of the notification and application forms used by the LLCHD Air Quality Section have been made available on the internet.
