ABOUT
This Center is considered a principal source of opportunities, activities and information relating to aging. It is the place in your community where you may fulfill many of your social, physical, nutritional, and intellectual needs.
The Northeast Center has been serving the community for over 11 years offering a wide variety of services and activities. Activities include but are not limited to: crafts, card groups, pool and sing-alongs. A variety of educational, nutritional and entertaining programs are scheduled throughout each month.
SERVICES
Transportation: Transportation is provided within a specific boundary area. Call the office for details, 441-7151. If you would like to use the van, the charge is only $1.00 each way, ($2.00 round trip). Please call 441-7863 the day before you need the van to schedule your pick up time.
Commodities: Monthly commodities are distributed the 4th Monday of every month at 9:30am. Call 438-5238 to register and have your commodities available for pickup at the Northeast ActivAge Center. (The time for pick-up may vary, call the Center for current monthly information, 441-7151).
Health Station: The Public Health Station is open for blood pressure and blood sugar screenings on Thursday from 9:00-11:30am. This is a FREE service.
Rental Information: If you are looking for a place to hold a birthday party, anniversary celebration, family reunion, or organization meeting, call the Northeast ActivAge Center at 441-7151.
Quilting: The Northeast ActivAge Center ladies quilt every Thursday afternoon from 8:00 - 3:00pm. Call 441-7151 to arrange to have quilting done or to volunteer.
