Crime Analysis

The Crime Analysis Unit reviews all Lincoln Police Department reports and identifies crime patterns by analyzing people, patterns, places and problems. Crime patterns are also recognized by utilizing tools and techniques implemented by other law enforcement agencies in doing Predictive and Preventive Analysis.  The unit maintains criminal intelligence information, Crime Stoppers, and the Leads OnLine pawn database. The unit coordinates and produces the monthly ACUDAT (Analyzing Crime Using Data About Trends) document and meeting, which is LPD's version of COMPSTAT. The Crime Analysis Unit also assists with statistical analysis requests by outside law enforcement agencies, universities, citizens, and business entities.

All files used to compile these reports are dynamic. Dynamic files allow continuous data entry, which could result in additions, deletions, and/or modifications at any time. Due to the dynamic nature of the data, numbers may vary in previous or subsequent reports.
