Lincoln is an AARP Age-Friendly Community
This recognition affirms the work the City of Lincoln and our community partners do every day to make our city a place where people can live with dignity, purpose, and a sense of belonging at every age. Guiding this work is our conviction that, when we improve livability for older adults, we improve the quality of life for everyone.
The Lincoln: An Age-Friendly Community Three-Year Action Plan (2026–2029) establishes a focused, data-driven roadmap to support health, independence, and connection for older adults. The plan targets key improvements in local transportation, accessible housing and inclusive social opportunities, strengthening the quality of life for all residents.
