Connecting Science, Service, and Community

The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities team supports the community in many ways, including sharing knowledge and experience with the next generation. Recently, Derick Gaspard, Process Control Technician, participated in STEM Night at a local elementary school.

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced the StarTran Multi-modal Transportation Center received a 2025 Excellence in Unbuilt Architecture Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Nebraska. The project was recognized as part of the 2025 AIA Nebraska Excellence in Design Awards program.

LTU Announces Reopening of South 56th Street

City Announces Results of Transit Education Program

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) Director Liz Elliott, today announced the results of a program conducted by LTU and Aging Partners to help older adults use public transportation. The How to Ride Project was made possible by a $19,885 AARP grant awarded to the City in July.
