Traffic Unit The primary goal of the Traffic Unit is to encourage traffic safety through enforcement of Lincoln's traffic ordinances. During a normal year, they issue approximately 60% of the total number of speeding citations department-wide.

Forensic Identification Unit The Forensic Unit conducts fingerprint and document examinations, maintains AFIS as well as the department’s forensic video analysis lab.
