Pearl Harbor Ceremony set for December 7 at Auld Pavilion

The Veterans Memorial Garden Advisory Council invites the public to a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony Thursday, December 7 at Auld Pavilion in Antelope Park, 1650 Memorial Drive. The event will begin at 11:55 a.m. to coincide with the time of the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941. Accessible parking is available on the north side of the Auld Pavilion.

Controlled Burn Scheduled for Wilderness Park December 1

Parks and Recreation staff will conduct a controlled burn at noon today, Friday, December 1, in in Wilderness Park between the Jamaica North Trail and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks east of the 14th Street trailhead. The hiking/biking trail in Wilderness Park east of marker 68 will be closed until noon Saturday, December 2.

City Receives Financial Reporting Award for 40th Consecutive Year

Lyn Heaton, Director of Finance, today announced that the City of Lincoln has received the Certification of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The award is for Lincoln’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2022. This is the 40th consecutive year Lincoln has been recognized.

Impaired Driving Enforcement Project Begins December 1
