HazToGo and GoodToGo Extend Hours Through August

HazToGo – Lincoln's Hazardous Waste Center, and GoodToGo – Lincoln’s Reuse Store, 5101 N. 48th St., today announced extended hours of operation from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays. The extended hours on Wednesdays will continue through August. The center and reuse store are also open on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the third Saturday each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Community Invited To Bricks Of Honor Event June 13

The Parks and Recreation Department and Lincoln Parks Foundation invite community members to the 30th annual Bricks of Honor dedication event at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at Veterans Memorial Garden in Antelope Park, 3200 Memorial Drive. The free program will recognize 53 veterans who have been honored in the past year with a brick in the garden and commemorates the founding of the garden.

Registration Now Open for Parks and Recreation Fall Team Sports

The Parks and Recreation Department today announced that registration is open for fall team sports, including adult volleyball, softball, and youth NFL Flag football. Adult leagues are for those ages 18 and older. Youth leagues are for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
