On Monday, October 10, 2005, officers of the Lincoln Police Department will begin an intensive enforcement campaign on unregistered and improperly registered motor vehicles that are being operated or parked within the city limits. Vehicle owners or drivers of improperly registered vehicles will be subject to a $100 fine for any improperly registered or unregistered vehicle.

To report an improperly registered or unlicensed vehicle, the public is encouraged to call Traffic Enforcement Office at: 441-6587. (You do not need to identify yourself).

All traffic violations will be enforced during this enforcement campaign that will last thirty days . Particular attention will be given to those vehicles that are:

Not registered (plated)
Improperly registered (plated)
Expired registration (plates)
Fictitiously plated
Expired dealer issued in-transit papers
