The Lincoln Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit will join in a nationwide “Click it or Ticket” Enforcement effort from Monday November 19th through Sunday, November 25th. This increased enforcement effort is made possible through a traffic grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety. Special attention by law enforcement will be directed to those motorists who fail to buckle up themselves, their passengers and children.

The single most important thing you can do to protect yourself and passengers in your vehicle is to buckle up each and every trip. If your vehicle is equipped with airbags, the use of the seatbelt is even more critical. These safety devices work in concert with each other and offer you the best protection in the event of a collision.
