Alcohol Compliance Check Conducted

On the evening of April 16, 2008, Lincoln Police Officers conducted an alcohol compliance detail at fifteen businesses in the Southwest Team area. Officers utilized a minor to attempt to purchase alcohol at off-sale sites. Only one business, Jackpot Convenience Store, 501 West A Street, sold alcohol to the minor. The employee checked the minor’s identification but continued with the transaction. That employee was cited for Sale of Alcoholic Liquor to a Minor and released. All other businesses listed checked the teen’s identification and declined the sale.
