Alcohol Sobriety Checkpoint Rescheduled

Staffing issues have forced the Northwest Team to cancel the Alcohol Sobriety Checkpoint planned for Saturday, October 24, 2009. It has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 11pm until 3am, Sunday, November 8, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Lincoln.

Saturation details previously announced for Friday, October 23, 2009, Saturday, October 24, 2009 and Friday, October 30, 2009 will continue. A Sobriety Checkpoint is also still in place for Saturday, October 31, 2009.

These weekends coincide with National Impaired Driving Enforcement Week; stressing Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving. Funding for this increased enforcement is provided by grants from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).
