Three Men Arrested for Homicide

The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday, July 31, 2011, at 231 S. 53rd Street. Officers were called to the address at 2:47am on the report of a shooting in progress. Upon arrival, 19 year old Dwayne Greer was found with multiple gun shot wounds. He was transported to a Lincoln hospital and pronounced deceased. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, August 1, 2011.

Witnesses described a confrontation at the house that continued outside. During the argument, one handgun was produced and fired by two separate men. Moments later, Jermaine Jackman, DaVaughn Johnson and DeAnthony Love left the party in a red 2000 Olsmobile Alero. At 8:40am, the vehicle was found parked on the 1100 block of B Street. All three men were located inside 1133 B Street #2. The gun believed to have been used in the homicide was found during a search of the apartment. Jermaine Jackman and DaVaughn Johnson were lodged in the Lancaster County Jail for 1st degree Murder and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. DeAnthony Love was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail for Aiding and Abetting 1st degree Murder.

This is the second homicide in Lincoln this year.
