Lincoln Police Investigate Stabbing Death
The Lincoln (NE) Police Department is investigating the stabbing of a 30 year old man in Northeast Lincoln. Officers were dispatched to the area of N. 59th and Madison Streets on August 10, 2012, at 5:51 a.m. The victim was found with at least one stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.
Witnesses advised that the victim and another man were arguing outside just prior to the assault. The other man was still at the scene when officers arrived. He was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. He has been released and is being interviewed by investigators.
The 2800 block of N. 59th Street (Cleveland Avenue - Madison Avenue) has been blocked off as Crime Scene Technicians process the scene. No arrests have been made and no names have been released. The investigation is on-going.
