Online Reporting Now Available to the Public

On Monday, April 8, 2013, the Lincoln (NE) Police Department launched an online reporting system. Citizens are now able to file a police report for select crimes. The service is available 24 hours a day via Lincoln Police Department's website. Reportable incidents are limited to theft, loss and damage totaling less than $500.00.

Citizens are prompted with a complete list of questions to ensure that the incident falls within the parameters for online reporting. This system allows citizens to submit a report immediately and print or download a copy of the police report for free. All reports will be reviewed by police department personnel, citizens may be recontacted if further investigation is needed.

Online reporting is provided for the convenience of the victim. Having an officer respond and take a report is still an option. Simply call 402.441.6000 for non-emergency incidents.
