TEXT, TYPE or TALK

Crime Stoppers want your tips on crimes happening in the Lincoln/Lancaster County area. You always remain anonymous with Crime Stoppers and can receive up to $1000 reward for information given. Leaving a tip is easy. Just remember the following: Text, Type, Talk.

TEXT

   1: On your cell phone, type LNK402 followed by your tip.
       Example: LNK402 Tom is selling drugs at 4TH and Main St.

   2: Send this information to CRIMES (274637)


   3: You will receive a confirmation text back with your code number. Remember your code number. A person with the tip can have a two-way dialog with a Crime Stoppers operator and provide additional information.

Dialog can be terminated by either the person providing the tip or by the Crime Stoppers operator. This is done by texting the word "stop". Once that is accomplished, the two-way texting line of dialog is ended.

NOTE: This is not designed for in-progress incidents. If there is an in-progress type of call, 911 should always be used.

AUTO THEFT
Lincoln Police is investigating the theft of a large tow truck from Pauls's Towing/3645 Adams ST. Unknown persons removed the truck from a fenced in area sometime between Tuesday 05-12-09 and Wednesday 05-13-09. This vehicle has not been recovered.

Red 1994 Ford 1 Ton, duel tire rear axle, it had 'Pauls Towing' lettering on both sides of the truck.

LPD Case: A9-044030

ROBBERY
Lincoln Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Wednesday 05-13-09, approximately 0103 hours at the Kwik Shop/4400 Cornhusker. Money and cigarettes were taken. The robber indicated he was armed, however no weapon was seen.

Party #1: Black Male, 20's, dark complexed, 5'6 to 6'0 tall, wearing a dark baseball cap, black jeans, dark in color t-shirt over the top of a long sleeve t-shirt, white tennis shoes.
The picture shown is of the likely suspect responsible in this case and possibly another robbery.

03-29-2009

SEXUAL ASSAULT/ROBBERY CASE CLEARED WITH AN ARREST
Lincoln Police are investigating a Sexual Assault/Robbery that occurred on Saturday 03-21-09, 0500 hours at the Casey's General Store/5500 Superior St.. A female clerk that was going to open for the morning, was ambushed and sexually assaulted outside the business. The clerk was then forced into the store after the assault where money was then taken. The robber indicated he was armed.

Party Responsible: Black male, 20-30 years of age, 6'1 tall, 180-200lbs, last seen wearing a black ski mask, red jacket with black shoulders, black hood, white t-shirt, blue baggy jeans, black shoes and blue gloves.

ROBBERY
Lincoln Police are investigating a ROBBERY that occurred on Wednesday 03-18-2009 at 2353 hours. Three armed unknown males entered the Kwik Shop/5900 Fremont St. and robbed the store.

All three were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts with bandanas covering their faces. All three were described as being 20-25 years old, 5'6-5'9 tall, 150-170lbs.

LPD Case: A9-019015 03-06-2009

Felony Larceny

A felony larceny occurred at the Berean Church, 6400 S 70th St, on Tuesday 3-3-09 at about 7:50 am. Employees report a man entered stating he was the armored car representative there to collect the deposit money. It turned out the person was a fake, and that he stole the money.

He is described as a white male, late 20's, 507 to 508 in height, and about 150 pounds. He had short light brown hair, some facial hair, and glasses, and was wearing a dark colored baseball style hat and a dark jacket.

** COLD CASE INVESTIGATION **

On August 26, 1999 just before 8:00 AM, Officers were sent to 510 Cottonwood Drive in Lincoln, NE. on a medical call. Officers found the victim, Kenneth Genuchi deceased at his home. The case has been classified as a HOMICIDE.

This case has remained unsolved.

Recently, money has been donated to Crime Stoppers in hopes of generating new leads or information.
