Imagine a place
Where children are invitedboy with net

‘please touch’
‘smell this'
‘can you hear?’

A place where it’s OK 'to get a little dirty’

We believe
That early childhood is a time for discovery, a time to enjoy the many miracles of the natural world:

the colors of fall prairie grass
the feel of a snake's skin
the call of the chorus frogs
the smell of plum blossoms

Yearly open enrollment begins February 1st.

The Pioneers Park Nature Center is a perfect place for young children to learn colors, counting, shapes, sizes, and spatial awareness through nature exploration. Our caring staff has a strong commitment to both the environment and to active learning. Your child's individual strengths and talents will be nurtured through a wide variety of daily activities.

The Nature Center Preschool serves children ages three to five years old. An annual enrollment fee must accompany registration and will be credited to the May payment. Registration is a contract for a full school year.  Sessions are held September through May:

  • Tuesday/Thursday, 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Tuesday/Thursday, 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday/Friday, 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.
