Nature Camps

Come Out and Play!
Outdoors
There’s a whole lot of great things to see,
Beetles and bugs and a bird in a tree,
Search for fossils and rocks, dip in with a net,
Sit still and dream, wade in and get wet!
Come out and play!

2012 Nature Explorers Camp: Mad Scientists

This year's campers experienced a variety of mad scientific activities! On Busy Builders Day we were engineers and put up forts, studied beaver and muskrat construction skills and made new friends. Water Wonders Day included creeking, pothole prairie exploration and water quality testing. As Green Growers, campers helped the PreK class plant peas, potatoes and onions, planted salad stuff in a cold fram and wheat and oats in teh 'cereal bowl.' They watered everything with wonderfully leaky containers. Reactionary Science Day was all about chemical reactions, crystal growing and eruptions. On our final day together we were FBI agents (Fungus, Bacteria and Invertebrates) who investigated animal evidence to determine what happened there.

Watch for Nature Explorers Camp 2013, March 11-15.
