Emergency Preparedness Safety Fair for People with Disabilities

Noon to 4 p.m.,October 1, 2011
Easterday Recreation Center, 6130 Adams Street, 402-441-7901

Atendees will learn how to prepare for a variety of emergencies and other safety information through fun and engaging activities, displays and booths. During this free event, participants can talk with firefighters, learn about first aid, practice on the 911 call simulator, and enjoy hot dogs and drinks. Coloring activities are available inside the center for the younger crowd. The first 175 people (not living in an agency affiliated group home) to register will receive a free emergency safety kit the day of the fair. All participants will receive a tote goody bag.

Extra parking is available in the Northeast United Church of Christ parking lot right next to Easterday Recreation Center. Limited free transportation is available. Must preregister by Wednesday, September 21. Call Easterday for more information.
